Tom Soini has a Master’s Degree in Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and has over 20 years’ experience working as a corporate accountant and has managed accounts departments and payroll. Tom is very experienced in bookkeeping and preparation of BAS returns and other statutory reporting such as PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax. We use Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Excel and can assist with Sage Micropay Meridian.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Initially we charge per hour. This is to get an understanding of your business and your specific needs. It also gives you a chance to evaluate our services and give us feedback on the job performed. We can then discuss a pricing model that suits your needs.

We don’t compete solely on price. The services Orion Bookkeeping provide are of very high quality and our customers can be assured of very high value services.

 

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Orion Bookkeeping customers?

We offer Orion Bookkeeping customers a free consultation to make sure your bookkeeping needs are met. We then offer the opportunity of an hourly rate or fixed rate depending on the time frame we provide our services, i.e. weekly or monthly. The fixed price is agreed on between Orion Bookkeeping and the client.

How a customer can save money before you start the work?

A customer can save money by having their invoices and other paperwork organised and easily accessible. It is also helpful to print bank statements or make them electronically available before a visit. A customer should prepare questions before a visit to speed up the visit. All these tips will save time and money for the business.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

What needs to be done; Bookkeeping only or also BAS returns and payroll? The size of the company and an estimate of the quantity of data entry, e.g. invoices and number of employees.

Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Orion Bookkeeping Pty Ltd has a Professional Indemnity Insurance. This is a requirement for registration as BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board.
